| 4X-ICM (cn 21965/438) Msn 21965. l/n 438. At 14h55 LT this 747 overran RWY 05R after a bad landing and skidded into the fields beyond the runway. The aircraft, which made an almost 90 degrees right turn during this mishap and seriously damaged the RWY 23L approach lighting system as well, carried more than 100 tons of perishables and came from Nairobi (NBO) via Tel Aviv (TLV). The RWY is situated on the left side, parallel with the road in front. |
