| An ATA jet arriving at Midway
Airport from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., overshot the runway. Emergency crews arrived immediately following the incident, prepared to evacuate ATA flight 647. No injuries were reported. The jet is seen pointed towards the northwest corner of the airport, yards from the nearby intersection. Passengers and crew members were said to be calm as they were removed from the jet which normally seats 120. |
