16 Jul 03 Electra L-188 fire-bomber of Air-Spray crashed 8 kms East of East Kootenay just after a load-release onto a fire in the area.
Two fatalities (operating out of Cranbrook British Columbia without a Flight engineer)
| 13 Jul 03 [2230Z] Cessna 402C (N314AB) of Air Sunshine crashed 9 mls short of Treasure Cay (Bahamas) and 2 mls offshore. Two fatalities (woman and a child). Remainder of 10 persons rescued by US Coast Guard helos. Uncontained rH reciprocating engine failure caused Air Sunshine's 3rd fatal crash since 1992 |

11 Jul 03 at Orlando Intl A/P Screeners found a loaded pistol inside a teddy bear being carried by a child during pre-boarding checks. Family of five claimed bear was given to the child at an Orlando Hotel 2 days earlier. Gun had been stolen in a 1996 burglary in Barstow California. |
