Birdstrike and crashed during 3rd attempt to land at Linate

    From a correspondent (Claudio)
Viewing your page about the LIN crash of the I-ERJC (Learjet 45) at this URL, http://www.iasa-intl.com/folders/belfast/LearLinate.html, I read that your description contains errors: the plane did not crash in a 3rd attempt to land, as you wrote, but during an emergency short approach just after a birdstrike at Vr.

The executive impacted with birds on the runway probably at about Vr or shortly after V1, and after losing one engine and probably half the thrust of the other one, the crew tried a short approach on Linate, crashing into a building near to the airfield area, sadly just 300 ft away from a safe clean area with no obstacles.
