Subject: Remi Jouty EASA Investigator verified
allegations
Hi Jxxxxx,
I want to thank you and Lxxxxx for your efforts to
get this information out to the public.
The broadcast by Tim van Beveren, with statements
from Professor Dr. Ruediger Hass, that the system was not
fail-safe, and does not contain a backup caught the attention of
all of the news media here. I am extremely appreciative for your
having contacted him.
His broadcast caused an angry response in the
people of both Germany and Austria, as I have had many people
stop me on the street, here in Vienna, to thank me personally
for what I am doing to protect public safety.
I also wanted to let you know about a major
breakthrough in the story yesterday.
Remi Jouty, who was the investigator assigned by
EASA Director of Certification Dr. Norbert Lohl, back on October
6th of 2004, to review the allegations and evidence which I had
delivered to EASA, has spoken with a reporter for the London
Daily Telegraph.
Remi had read the press coverage where EASA and
AIRBUS both attempted a smear campaign, attempting to destroy my
credibility, and stated that they fully reviewed everything, and
stated there are no safety issues. This was followed up by a
press release from TTTech which states that EASA had proven the
allegations to be completely false, and that I am not a
whistleblower.
Remi stated to the reporter that his EASA
investigation had in fact confirmed my allegations were true,
and had informed AIRBUS, Nord Micro, and TTTech his official
findings of this in April of 2005.
Remi says that these actions by EASA and AIRBUS
are disgusting, and that EASA, AIRBUS, Nord Micro and TTTech's word
is not to be trusted.
The reporter next confronted the EASA
spokesperson Dr. Daniel Holgren via the telephone with these
facts, and a "vicious argument ensued". At the end of the heated
confrontation, Holtgen said he would go back to his people to
either confirm or deny Remi's statements. Later, Holgren called
the reporter back and confirmed the facts as Remi had reported
them. Holgren claims that his own people set him up, and they
gave him the false message to be spread to the media. Holgren
now states that EASA has been unfair to me.
Remi was "removed" on April 28th, from the AIRBUS
A380 Certification Program, where he was manager responsible for
Type Certification. On the very same day, Gary Lium, responsible
for FAA type certification for the AIRBUS A380 suddenly retired.
Gary's replacement, Holly Thorinson, stated that "Gary just
announced that it was his last day, and left the building with a
couple of binders under his arms. Gary did not transfer any
material, or perform any kind of outbrief with me. " Gary
has been contacted by the media at his home, but has not been
willing to talk about what happened to him on the record. Gary
had sent an official government to government correspondence to
EASA, notifying them of my Notification of FAA under the
whistleblower statutes, which apply as the aircraft is jointly
certified under the "BASA Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement".
All false statements of compliance, forged
signatures, and falsified test data, can be prosecuted in the
United States under U.S. Federal Code 18.1001 regarding false
statements to a government official.
According to Tim van Beveren, the U.S. Office of
Inspector General (OIG) is investigating this matter on the
basis of an attempt to use an "unapproved part" on a commercial
aircraft.
Thanks again for all of your efforts to bring
this matter to the attention of the public.
These efforts appear close to paying off.
Hopefully this will result in a demand by EASA to install the
outflow valve dump door locks to prevent the defects from
causing any rapid decompression.
